Strawberry Shortcake with Strawberry Zinfandel Balsamic Glaze

2 thick sliced pieces of pound cake or shortcake

1 cup thinly sliced Fresh Florida Strawberries
¼ cup Ashlynn’s Gourmet Strawberry Zinfandel Balsamic Glaze
½  tsp sugar
Fresh whipped cream and mint to garnish

Cooking Instructions and Chefs Tips:

 Slice strawberries to your desired thickness and mix with Strawberry balsamic glaze and sugar, let the mixture sit in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. While strawberry mix is coming together, cut pound cake slices and arrange on desired serving dish, spoon desired amount of Strawberry mix over pound cake, top with whipped cream and garnish with a sprig of mint if desired.

Try making fresh whipped cream for this Strawberry Shortcake! If you are making “fresh” whipped cream try folding in 2 TBSP of Strawberry Balsamic Glaze to create a Strawberry Zinfandel Chantilly cream. It is incredible!

For maximum calories and total awesomeness add a scoop of French Vanilla to Pound Cake before the Strawberry Mix and then allow yourself to enjoy one of the finer desserts of life.
